[19 May 2008|03:21am]
I am bored, and have many things to do, but feel entitled to at least several days of doing Absolutely Nothing. I am pretty much a senior in college. What the fuck? Seriously.

I am in Cranford and I am thinking a lot. We chatted late last night about so many things in the past and our futures. I just read about six years of old livejournal entries because I couldn't sleep. How can I feel homesick while sitting in my own bed? So much has changed.

I can't believe that I wrote in this every day during high school...but I'm glad that I did.

this blog is funny as hell,

http://stuffwhitepeoplelike.wordpress.com/

and if it offends you,
i'd have to agree with one commentor:

"I seriously love all the comments on all these posts re: how racist the
blog is. Really, if this blog is among the most racist things that have
ever happened to you, you have exactly zero of my sympathy.
Talk to me when someone throws rocks at your 12-year-old self because it’s 1991 and you’re “Japanese.”"

Or when you're a senior in high school and people love to imply that you're stealing away all the spots at prestigious colleges because of Affirmative Action. and stuff like that.

2. overheard on the Boston shuttle: "So, I've been trying to get my cell phone to express the temperature in Kelvins..."

A day in the life [20 Dec 2007|12:06am]
"Lauren? When MarioKart comes out for the Wii, will you play it with me?"

(brushing teeth) "Mmhmm."

"Promise?"

"Mmhm..."

"Good. Because I will crush you in that game. I will obliterate you."

are you pondering what i'm pondering, pinky? [07 Dec 2006|02:34am]
I would just like to share with you an amazing clip posted on my cognitive neuro professor's website.

gotta love a guy who regularly includes Simpsons references in his powerpoints, rather excitedly points out that famous neuroscientist Simon Baron-Cohen is Sacha Baron-Cohen's cousin (but claims he expected more from his Borat performance), and now, has shown an appreciation for Pinky and the Brain.

steal my heart and hold my tongue.
i feel my time, my time has come.
let me in, unlock the door.
i've never felt this way before.

the wheels just keep on turning,
the drummer begins to drum,
i don't know which way i'm going,
i don't know which way i've come.

hold my hand inside your hands,
i need someone who understands.
i need someone, someone who hears,
for you, i've waited all these years.

for you, i'd wait 'til kingdom come.
until my day, my day is done.
and say you'll come, and set me free,
just say you'll wait, you'll wait for me.

in your tears and in your blood,
in your fire and in your flood,
i hear you laugh, i heard you say,
"i wouldn't change a single thing."

the wheels just keep on turning,
the drummers begin to drum,
i don't know which way i'm going,
i don't know what i've become.

for you, i'd wait 'til kingdom come,
until my days, my days are done.
say you'll come and set me free,
just say you'll wait, you'll wait for me.

Some Statistics [09 May 2006|04:58pm]
Final paper for Medical Anthropology:

Due Date: Tuesday, May 9th at 5:00pm

Length at Tuesday, May 9th, 4:00pm: 7.5 pages

Time at which I realize that the minimum length is 10, not 8 pages: 4:05pm

Time at which final paper is handed in: 4:40pm

Length of paper at 4:40pm: 9.5 pages

So that's how far extreme panic and Arial font rather than Times New Roman can get you.
Basically, I hate my anthro class and i'm SO GLAD that i'm done.
